Why BiteHelp exists
After an animal bite or scratch abroad, people may struggle to explain where it happened, what the animal was like, whether it can be observed, and what treatment they have already received. BiteHelp puts those facts into one clear card for a clinician.
What BiteHelp can—and cannot—do
- It makes a clear card in an available language for the place where you are seeking care. If that language is unavailable, the card is shown in English.
- It can read the selected card language aloud and help you search for nearby care.
- It does not ask for your name, passport details, or contact information.
- It cannot decide whether you need rabies vaccine, immunoglobulin, monoclonal antibodies, antiviral treatment, or any other care. A qualified clinician or public-health professional must make that decision.
